This webinar provides a basic overview of HIV as a chronic medical condition, describes prevention and post-exposure recommendations, and discusses opportunities for interprofessional collaboration.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:
- Review the state of HIV as a chronic medical condition, including transmission, pertinent lab monitoring, and common medications.
- Recognize oral manifestations of HIV.
- Identify tools for reducing HIV transmission such as Treatment as Prevention (U=U) and Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) and PrEP.
